Briss is Mac-UNfriendly.
This program is utterly useless for academic articles. Comes with two programs, which is inconvenient. Once you figure it out, you need additional software to re-compile the separate images as a single PDF, and that's only if you can deal with compromised image quality. Don't waste your time.
Pros: Downloads from Softonic in less time than you spend figuring it out.
Cons: Painfully slow in loading PDF files
Briss.jar file splits PDF into odd pages and even pages; does not display image you're editing, so you have to guess at it.
Comes with jpedal.jar, which allows you to AWKWARDLY crop images, but can only save images/pages as individual JPEGS, requiring additional software to compile separate images as a single PDF.
Jpedal is also extremely slow.
Ultimately difficult to navigate and use. Worthless to probably everyone.
